Bar services

The number of bar shifts for the 2023 season has been set at 3 for senior members and 2 for part-time members. Every year around the beginning of March, all members are informed via the newsletter about how bar services can be filled.

The mandatory bar services can be purchased for €35 per service. The amount must be transferred to ING account NL72INGB0003739723 in the name of LTC Strandvliet, stating "purchase of bar service". If you have questions about canteen matters, you can always contact info@gaasperpark.amsterdam.

You can schedule bar services online via the new KNLTB bar service planner. Follow the following steps:

    Go to "log in" Log in with your KNLTB association number password. If you do not yet have a password or you have forgotten it, click on “forgot password”. You will receive a new password at the email address known to the KNLTB. After entering, click on log in. After logging in, the bar service schedule will appear. This is in the form of a calendar view. The services that are registered in your name are shown at the top right. Below are the services that are still available in the month in question. Click on the green bar to select a date/time. To actually schedule this service, you can click on Schedule in the next screen.

Bar service and the law.

All members who work bar shifts must be at least 18 years old and in possession of an IVA Certificate. (Responsible Alcohol Instruction). This also applies to parents of youth players who perform bar duties. The Drinks and Catering Act sets requirements for all bar volunteers who serve alcoholic beverages;

    at least 18 years old in possession of an IVA certificate

So no youth under the age of 18 are allowed behind the bar or in the kitchen!

The certificate serves as proof that you are qualified as a bar volunteer and have sufficient knowledge about alcohol, the law and alcohol abuse. And that you also know when and how to say “no”.

You can read what you need to know on the website nocnsf.nl/iva. You can also obtain the certificate by completing a questionnaire. It doesn't cost any money, just some time, ±30 minutes.

First read the section “What you need to know” and then go to the section “Take the test” to get the certificate. Please note: do not enter the email address and name of the bar manager. To pass, 16 of the 20 questions must be answered correctly. You can take the test as often as you want. After obtaining the certificate, please print this certificate. You can hand this in later at the bar.

We keep track of who has submitted the certificate and all certificates will be kept in an order at the bar, so that they are immediately available in the event of a possible inspection.

Please note: the municipality of Amsterdam monitors compliance with the Liquor and Catering Act more strictly. Violations carry high fines, ranging from €1,360 to €2,720! In the worst case, the catering permit can be revoked.

That is why we ask everyone who is eligible for bar service to ensure that this is in order before your bar service starts.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
