Meet our trainers! In 2022 you will find the trainers below on our track.

Ardie Dumais - Head coach LTC Strandvliet

Ardie is a sports fanatic; Since his youth in Indonesia he has been involved in sports, with swimming and volleyball as his passion. He practiced both sports to a high level, but at the age of 27 he fell in love with a new sport: tennis! That never left him. Due to his basic sporting skills, combined with his passion and enjoyment for this new sport, he grew into a category "4" player in no time.

His enthusiasm is contagious and when he was asked about 17 years ago if he might want to become a tennis teacher, he didn't have to think long. At first he combined teaching with his permanent job. The opportunity to work more hours soon followed and because he wanted to take this career switch seriously, he also took the KNLTB trainer training course.

Ardie has worked continuously at Tennis Opmaat since he started as a tennis teacher, where he was associated with ATC Slotervaart as a club trainer. Indeed it was, because Ardie has now resigned; As of April 1, he will be the head coach at (still) Strandvliet. He looks forward to this new challenge with great enthusiasm.

His approach suits Drive-ITT; he also applies their characteristic style in his lessons; “looking at what the learner needs, what he or she wants and what is possible; This way you stay close to your own game and improve within your capabilities, wishes and ambition.”

And because Strandvliet will soon have padel courts in addition to tennis, Ardie has now started the padel training for tennis teachers from the KNLTB.

As an experienced club trainer, he believes connection is important, which fits exactly with what we are looking for as a club. His ambition is to get to know the people within the club as quickly as possible, put members in touch with each other where possible and ensure that everyone can optimally share the enthusiasm for tennis and the club.

In short: the association, the tennis school and the head coach are ready for the summer season.

Isbian Country Joy

Isbian started playing tennis at the age of 13 and it has been his sport ever since. He was on the court almost every day to train or play freely with anyone who wanted to play tennis. He soon started playing matches and slowly came up with the idea of becoming a tennis coach one day.

"Eventually, when I was 17, I started assisting training sessions with my club trainers. This way I immediately gained knowledge and experience. It was a great way for me to get a taste of the profession."

Because he started to enjoy teaching more and more and really got a taste for it, he was allowed to start providing training independently around the age of 20. After six years of giving training in Rotterdam and Leiden, he is now involved in the Gaasperpark training, among other things.

"My strength is my enthusiasm, patience and enjoyment for tennis. I would like you to experience this and see if I can get you even more enthusiastic about the game. See you on court!"
