Padel rules

Padel rules

Padel is extremely popular. At the same time, we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to use our padel courts. That is why we have drawn up the rules below. These are not without obligation. This will be monitored by the reservation system and in the event of a violation, your membership will be blocked for one month and you will therefore not be able to play for one month.

Availability of jobs

For all members, (some of) the courts are not available during events, such as internal tournaments, toss evenings, open tournaments, club championships and competitions. For events, see the Club Agenda on the website. In the ClubApp you will find whether there are courts available for free play, which courts have been rented out or reserved for events.

Reserving jobs

You are required to hang on to a court if you want to play. This works via the ClubApp or via the website. The number of days in advance that a job can be reserved is variable between 12 and 16 days. After booking you can play for 1 hour or 1.5 hours at the time of your choice.

Book with 4 people

You can only reserve a court with 4 people. Reservations are only allowed for players who will actually play. Cancellation of a job must be given at least 60 minutes in advance, so that others have time to fill the cancellation. Otherwise it is assumed that the reservation will go through.

Play during peak hours

You can play a maximum of 1 time per day during peak hours (a lesson hour also counts as 1 time). Reservations may be made a maximum of 4 times per week per player during peak hours. Peak hours are Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM and on weekends. Non-members are not allowed to play during peak hours.

Track lighting

The padel court lighting turns on automatically when it gets dark. The lights turn off automatically at 11:00 PM.

Leave job

You may play until your lane is depended on by other players. When members report to your court (and your time is up) you stop playing and the new players can enter the court. You may not hang again until you have left the track.

Track conditions

Thanks to the all-weather padel courts, you can play padel at our sports park all year round, taking into account the court conditions.

Clean job

Always play on a clean court. You must first remove leaves and twigs on the court before you start playing padel. This is to prevent you from slipping and dirt from being kicked into the mat. Tools are available for this.

Rain puddles

Sponging is not allowed in rain puddles. When using sponges, you seal the mat so that rainwater no longer drains away.

Snow

When it is snowing, removing snow is NOT permitted because the mat can be damaged and infill is taken with it. Moreover, when you enter the track, ice forms that adheres to the top layer and therefore thaws more slowly.

Monarch

Playing is no problem in bare frost.

IJzel

For safety reasons, it is not advisable to go on the track when it is icy.

Non-smoking

TPC Gaasperpark supports the pursuit of a smoke-free generation. That is why smoking is not allowed in our sports park and in the club building.
