Confidential Contact Person (VCP)

TPC Gaasperpark wants to be an association where everyone feels safe and enjoys playing tennis or padding.

That is why we believe it is important to prevent unpleasant and undesirable issues such as bullying, (sexual) intimidation or discrimination within our club and to discuss them where necessary.

Two confidential contact persons have been appointed for this purpose. They are the first point of contact for tennis players, padellers, parents, committee members and volunteers with a complaint or question regarding the generally applicable rules of conduct.

The most important role of the confidential contact person is to take your feelings seriously, give you insight into the situation and advise you on how best to deal with this. The confidential contact person will handle this confidentially and will always leave you in charge of the process to be followed.

The confidential counselors of TPC Gaasperpark successfully completed the NOC*NSF confidential contact person course in September 2023 and they are in possession of a certificate of participation.

The email address is: vcp@gaasperpark.amsterdam. If you also leave your telephone number, you will be called as soon as possible by one of the confidential contact persons.

What can you contact the VCP for?

If you have any questions about whether the way of interacting with each other within your team and/or the club is correct, you are welcome to contact the confidential contact person. The questions you have may be about: - Bullying and being bullied;

- Feeling that you do not belong because of your religion, skin color or sexual preference;

- Transgressive behavior: you experience the way in which you are approached and/or touched by a team member, trainer, coach, board member or fellow member of the association as unpleasant;

- A suspicion of transgressive behavior. You think that someone close to you is dealing with this.

- You are concerned about the way your child is treated within the club/team.

- Someone has directly or indirectly accused you of unacceptable behavior.

What does the VCP do when I approach it?

- We make an appointment at a neutral place

- The VCP will listen to your story. Hopefully we can resolve it together, but that depends on your complaint.

- The VCP makes a report of the conversation and forwards it to the board. (But not before you have read this yourself first. So you can add or delete things.) Your report can also be made anonymously. You ultimately decide what happens!

- What we discuss is confidential. Your VCP could also consult the other VCP. But this is also (and remains) confidential.

- However, if your complaint is very serious, the VCP must pass this on to the board or perhaps even the police.

Pim Scheick

"My name is Pim Scheick. I have been retired since 2015. In my 43 years of working life I was a teacher, a physical education teacher and for the last 25 years a teacher in secondary education. I played football and badminton until I was about 35 and then switched to tennis. From 2016 to 2019 I was chairman of LTC Strandvliet. And since this season (2023) I have been part of the maintenance and handyman committee. I hope to receive very few complaints as VCP, because my rule of thumb is: Don't do anything to someone else that you would find unpleasant."

Ina Golsteijn

"My name is Ina Golsteijn. Since 1994 I have been a member of LTC Strandvliet, now TPC Gaasperpark. During my working period I have held various financial and personnel-related positions. In addition to playing tennis for a long time, I have also played handball for 40 years, skated a lot and I am an avid walker. From my earliest youth I have done volunteer work and have been co-organizer of School Football in South East for approximately 25 years and have held positions at various sports organizations."
